GLP1-R
GLP1-R is a pre-filled research pen containing a synthetic glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist analog, 4113.6 g/mol. GLP-1 is an intestinal incretin hormone; long-acting analogs are studied for receptor signalling, insulin secretion, glucose regulation and appetite pathways in laboratory and clinical-pharmacology research. Supplied at 40 mg, ≥99% purity by HPLC/MS, with a batch-specific COA. Research use only — not a drug product.

What is a GLP-1 receptor agonist?
Glucagon-like peptide-1 is a 30-amino-acid hormone released by intestinal L-cells after food intake. It acts on the GLP-1 receptor to potentiate glucose-dependent insulin secretion, and native GLP-1 is degraded by DPP-IV within minutes. Synthetic analogs with substitutions and fatty-acid side chains extend that half-life from minutes to days, and it is those long-acting analogs that dominate current research. GLP1-R supplies one such analog in a research format.
What are GLP-1 analogs studied for in research?
- Mechanism of action. Drucker's 2018 *Cell Metabolism* review is the standard reference for GLP-1 receptor mechanisms and applications [1]; Holst's *Physiological Reviews* article covers the underlying physiology [2], updated in a 2026 review of proglucagon-derived peptides [3].
- Receptor crosstalk. GLP-1R and GIPR signalling interactions are an active area [4] — see the dual-agonist comparison.
- Anti-inflammatory signalling. A 2025 *J Clin Invest* review examines actions beyond metabolic endpoints [5].
These describe the research and clinical-pharmacology literature on GLP-1 analogs as a class. The research-grade material sold here is not a drug and is not for human use.
GLP1-R vs GLP1-T
GLP1-R is a single-receptor (GLP-1R) agonist; GLP1-T is a dual GLP-1/GIP receptor agonist. Read GLP-1 vs GLP-1/GIP dual agonist research.
