Tesamorelin
Tesamorelin is a synthetic 44-amino-acid analog of growth-hormone-releasing hormone — C221H366N72O67S, 5135.9 g/mol — stabilised by a trans-3-hexenoic acid group at the N-terminus that protects it from enzymatic cleavage. It is the most clinically documented GHRH analog, studied for growth-hormone secretion and visceral adipose tissue in HIV-associated lipodystrophy. APX Labs supplies it as a 10 mg lyophilized vial, ≥99% purity by HPLC/MS, with a batch-specific COA. Research use only.

What is tesamorelin?
Tesamorelin is native human GHRH(1-44) with a single N-terminal modification that makes it resistant to the enzyme DPP-IV. Unlike most compounds in this catalog it has an extensive clinical literature, because a pharmaceutical formulation was developed for a specific HIV-related indication. The research-grade material APX Labs supplies is the same peptide sequence, tested to research-reagent standards, and is sold strictly for laboratory use.
What is tesamorelin studied for in research?
- Visceral adipose tissue and liver markers. Multiple studies in people with HIV report reductions in visceral fat with associated changes in liver enzymes [1] and fat quality [2].
- Muscle composition. A 2019 study examined muscle fat and muscle area [3].
- Use alongside other therapy. A 2024 paper examined tesamorelin in people with HIV on integrase inhibitors [4].
These are clinical research findings in a specific patient population under medical supervision. They are not claims about the research-grade material sold here, which is not a drug and is not for human use.
Tesamorelin vs CJC-1295
Both are stabilised GHRH analogs. Tesamorelin is the full 44-residue sequence with an N-terminal cap; CJC-1295 is a 29-residue fragment with four amino-acid substitutions. See GHRH analogs explained for the side-by-side.
